Snapchat, a photo-messaging app, recently announced the launch of Instant Create, an easy way for advertisers to create ads in three simple steps.
“Just select your objective (increase web visits, app installs, or app visits), enter your business website and finalise your targeting. Then you’re ready to publish!” the company informed in a blog post, explaining the three steps of the ad-making tool.
Snap CEO Evan Spiegel had mentioned Instant Create at an investor relations meeting “Just this month we started testing our new Instant Create on-boarding flow, which generates ads for businesses in three simple steps from their existing assets, be it their app or their e-commerce storefront.” The tool is now available for all advertisers who use Snapchat’s self-serve Ads Manager.
The post also explains how advertisers could use the tool. “When creating a campaign, you have the option to choose Instant Create or Advanced Create. While Advanced Create is a great way to create multiple Ad Sets, Instant Create is a simplified way to create a campaign with a single Ad.” Snapchat also released a step-by-step visual guide to explain the process to advertisers.
According to Snapchat, the features of Instant Create include:
- For web visits, simply input your business URL and Instant Create will pull in photos directly from your website to help create your ad.
- You have the option of choosing from one of the imported images or uploading a new one from your computer, allowing you to quickly set up your campaigns without having to search for a creative.
- Instant Create includes a streamlined ad creation flow that leverages our most popular templates and simplified ad detail options, enabling you to publish engaging creative without additional design resources.
At this time Instant Create only supports Snap Ads. For campaigns with other ad formats, advertisers can use Advanced Create.
According to TechCrunch, Snapchat is hoping to attract new advertisers (and make advertising easier for the ones already on the platform) with Instant Create. “Some of these potential advertisers may not be used to creating ads in the smartphone-friendly vertical format that Snapchat has popularised, so Instant Create is designed to make the process as simple as possible.
